Kill cop, injure 2 CRPF troopers

Srinagar, Aug 1: A policeman was killed and two paramilitary CRPF troopers sustained injuries when suspected militants opened fire near Regal Chowk and Batmaloo here this morning.
“First militants appeared in Regal Chowk and opened fire on the CRPF men from a point blank range injuring two of them critically,” a police official said.
He said minutes after the first attack, militants again struck near Batmaloo, nearly 2 kilometres from Regal Chowk, and shot dead a policeman |
