The method by which Dogra came into possession of Kashmir is the most ridiculous event in human history.

I am surprised, Dogra's wasted so much money on buying Kashmir.

They should have waited or just stormed in & taken it for FREE!!!! Very Happy

As far as Admin says most ridiculous.... I agree, what a waste of money & energy to buy trouble. Anyways what has been done is done, one day we will get Kashmir on track & everything will be fine. Because most of the Kashmiri's will die shouting & yelling. Razz

Had Dogras guts to storm kashmir? They are cowards. That is why they back stab kashmiris.Kashmir is a live nation and nobody can eradicate them. Dogras will have to repent for their misdeeds.[Obscene language deleted by admin].

1846 The British East India Co sells Kashmir to a maharajah for six million rupees and an annual tribute of six shawls spun from the wool of Kashmiri goats.
1925 Maharajah Hari Singh conquers the throne of the princely state of Kashmir. He is part of a dynasty, empowered by the British, ruling over a majority Muslim state.
1947 Partition - India gains control of Kashmir after the maharajah of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India in return for armed assistance. Indian troops in Kashmir fight their first war against Pakistan. The war ends after a UN intervention on 1 January 1949 that sets up a ceasefire line between the two states.

Correction:

In 1814, Jammu became part of the Sikh Kingdom of the Punjab, under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Ranjit Singh bestowed the place as a jagir on Gulab Singh, who belonged to the Jamwal Rajput clan that ruled Jammu. As a jagirdar for the Sikhs, Gulab Singh extended the boundaries of the Sikh kingdom to western Tibet with the help of Zorawar Singh. The Sikh rule was then extended beyond the Jammu Region and the Kashmir Valley to include the Tibetan Buddhist Kingdom of Ladakh and the Emirates of Hunza, Gilgit and Nagar.

It was after defeating the kashmiri that they conquered kashmir gilgit baltistan and ladakh (which was previously a part of tibet )
and Reallly disgusted by islamists here who are calling them with abuses. But as far as evidence says they were very secular with Hindus Muslims and Buddhists living with each other peacefully. Consider that there was never any riot anytime in The royal Kingdom of Dogras. Also they Had Locally Elected Prime Minister who had Very good Academics last was under adviser of Sheikh Jenab Abdullah
