The media in Kashmir is partly to blame for the various factions in the pro-freedom parties. I once read a comment by some smart guy that the term "separatists" was invented by the Indian media to create confusion regarding the Kashmir issue in the minds of the world community who are learning about Kashmir. After all the term "separatists" implies that Kashmir has all along been a part of India and now the "separatists" want to sever ties and separate. This is historically inaccurate because Kashmiris have never accepted Kashmir as part of India right from the start... |
All Kashmiris condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on innocent people at the German Bakery in Pune. Nothing justifies these barbaric actions by criminals and enemies of all humanity. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims of the killed, and we hope for a speedy and complete recovery for those injured. Kashmiris stand behind you in this time of grief.
Kashmiris have been victims of similar terrorist barbarity unleashed upon us by the Indian Occupation forces and we have experienced similar terror many times. Just last week saw the murder of two innocent Kashmiri... |
Today is India's independence day and there cannot be a better day to mention the irony. The irony that the victim of British colonization has itself becoming the occupier in Kashmir. Indian Prime Minister, Mr Manmohan Singh mentioned that the "separatist ideology has become irrelevant." And therefore that would be the reason why there is not a sinlge Kashmiri blogger pouring out his or her love for India, right? And that would be the reason that all Kashmiri bloggers call this occupying country all sorts of innovative names, and why they have a million occupation troops on our streets. |
Show me a pro-India Kashmiri blogger and I'll consider that there is in fact even an infinitesimal chance of there being an indigenous Kashmiri sentiment in favour of India. The fact remains that most pro-India Kashmiris are opportunists, and almost always have their own vested interest in defending India's presence in Kashmir. They are the Kashmiris who benefit directly from the Indians, and invariably belong to either a pro-India political party, contractors and bureaucrats: people who will lose their unaccountable power once the Indians are gone. They are the Kashmiri version of opportunistic... |
The last few days of comic drama in the puppet Assembly is evidence of the incompetence of all pro-India opportunistic politicians. The PDP could have brought up the case of the the Bomai or Khaigam killings which would have really embarrassed the Omar Abdullah puppet government, but in all their incompetency, the most important issue for them was a piece of paper with Omar Abdullah's name written on it by the CBI. As if the Bomai murders were not important or the fact that the Indian government is shielding the Indian Army killers even though two inquiries, one conducted by the puppet administration... |
I would like to dedicate my first blog post to Hurriyat. I wish to emphasize that most Kashmiris are fatigued by seeing Hurriyat being splintered into so many factions. Although I will be voicing my opinion on all events I feel are important for me, I will primarily deal with ways Hurriyat can strengthen their standing and better fend off the machinations of the Indian intelligentsia, who are always conspiring to undermine our only freedom party.
First and foremost, I wish all the factions would unite. There is no way around this simple, yet onerous task. The most common remark from... | |

Justice for Neelofar and Asiya |
Remember Neelofar and Asiya Please remember Neelofar and Asiya who were brutally raped and murdered by the Indian Army. Appeal to our friends living overseas: Please write to your MP's, Members of Congress, Senators, or MLA's. Even write to your local papers. That is the least we can do to seek justice for Neelofar and Asiya. |
