PostSubject: kashmiri language   Fri Sep 12, 2008 2:22 am

This post is in response to the blog
http://kashmir-truth-be-told.blogspot.com/ probably written by Koshur regarding Psych Ops of India where in he is talking about kashmiri language etc
My comments about kashmiri language and sending him links regarding Kashmiri seems didnt go well with his thoughts of Persian Kashmiri and History of kashmir and he chose not to approve them.

So here I am sharing with the people who really want to know what kashmiri language is and what its history is:

@corekashmiri

I am one of the moderators of this site and the reason I deleted that link is that you have to debate the issues here first and later provide supporting evidence in terms of links. As it appears, you are simply advertising that site, which will not be allowed.

In a debate you argue on your own merit. You cannot simply forward people to the other site and make a point.

We are willing to debate any point on the Kashmiri language that you wish. I am unaware of the Kashmir-truth-be-told blog discussion that you had with "koshur" but we can start the debate here.

PostSubject: Sign of Desperation   Fri Sep 12, 2008 5:51 am

This shows & confirms nothing but your desperation and intolerance towards truth which you don't want to seek and not let others who wish to seek.

I dont have to point out examples on this discussion forum which point to various links (irrespective of whether they are pro- anything or not) to seek further information for people seeking the truth.

Neither were those links advertizing and nor is the link which enlists the history of Kashmir and Kashmiri language any sort of advertisement.
Now that just goes against your so called false history of kashmir and kashmiri language, you dont even feel secure in letting the people to view the website which talks about the real Kashmiri language rather than the persian version of the same which you want to embrace.

Shame on you!!

PostSubject: Impartiality expected of Admin   Fri Sep 12, 2008 6:01 am

As an Admin, you need to be impartial to the posts irrespective of what the content is.
I began to be a regular on this Discussion forum for the simple reason that it sounded reasonable, where the only thing which was screened was Obscenities and dis-respect and which was wonderful way of discussions.

But now it seems to be going along the same path of Intolerance which you are used to in your general life.

You better not call this a discussion forum, better to invite only those people who share your views and be happy in the fool's paradise thinking that everyone of you thinks alike.

@corekashmiri

We will let the admin decide tonight whether my moderating the site was an appropriate action.

You seem to be aggravated by the fact that Kashmiris only prefer the persian script for writing kashmiri.

I personally do not have any preference to either the dardic or the persian scripts. The point that Koshur is making in his blog is that either way, it is not taught in schools.

I fail to see what you are trying to achieve by mentioning the other site here? if not for the purpose of advertising.

PostSubject: Adieu   Fri Sep 12, 2008 6:07 am

I finally bid Adieu to the fools, which initially, I had a wrong impression of having some intellect.
The actions committed by the Admin in censuring contents which has nothing to do with Obscenities make me sad and at the same time affirm my belief that such fools can't change.
So keep on discussing with like minded people and think that its a discussion happening.

Adious!!!

PostSubject: @admin & corekashmiri   Fri Sep 12, 2008 6:34 am

i am not anyone to decide whether u add the link in the post or not but i would request u to add the link from corekashmiri and let the others decide the level of his intellect or there's...
.....it seems after just a month's of discussion people here get frustrated..i dnt know whether the decission by the admin not to publish the link is right or wrong but it seems irresponsible from corekashmiri's side to call anyone a fool here..hated-in took out his frustration by abusing kashmiri womenfolk and i was surprised that the admin didnt ban him on such an abusive statements...
nobody here is to judge who is an intellectual or who is a fool..we may not agree to each other's viewpoints but that is a sign of a healthy debate..let us not make this forum into a war zone and let us everyone keep our calm and discuss in the right spirits....
regards...

corekashmiri it is very sad that you have decided that you will leave the discussion. But it begs the question that why are you changing the argument by bringing up what script the Kashmiri language is written in.

Our main grief is that the Indians have conspired to kill the language no matter what script you choose to use. It is not taught in our schools and children are encouraged to speak in Hindi/Urdu at schools.

Have the site owners of the website that you tried to propagate here ever talked about the Indian attempts to suppress our language?

It does not help to communalize each and every discussion. You claim that the muslim rulers are responsible for banning the use of the dardic script; fine, provide some proof. But here are the rules as mentioned to me by the site admin. The rules are that it has to be from a reliable source such as:

1. Scholarly work
2. Mentioned in a book by a Respected author
3. Historical records
4. Unbiased websites

The following are not considered reliable sources:

1. Wikipedia
2. Personal websites
3. Biased websites
4. Hearsay evidence
5. A personal gut feeling.

As you can see I am simply following these rules that apply to this forum.

Hope you will consider rejoining the discussion and proving your claim.

Moderator, would this be allowed to post this site.

My point is that take a look at all the languages in the "dardic" family tree. They all spread from Iran, Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan, and ends in Kashmir.

All these languages use the persian script for writing.

Why would Kashmiris be the odd one out and start writing in sanskrit, when it lies in the dardic family tree?
Another lie being propagated by the hindutva people i suppose.

BTW reporter, corekashmiri means the "sanskritic" script not the "dardic".

.....

Yes this site would be allowed because it fits these following descriptions; which sadly corekashmiri's site did not fit:

-Not a personal website -check
-Unbiased website - check
-Scholarly work - check
-Book by a respected author - check

So the site by Kilo Click here will be allowed on the forum.

Sorry corekashmiri, after going over reporter's reasoning over disallowing the link of the personal website to be posted here, I will have to second that decision.

You can post links to other sites to reinforce a point you are making.

What is not allowed is that you start a thread by asking readers to go over the information on the other site. What I would recommend is that you can study the information on the other site and post it here in your own words.

This is a friendly reminder to other members as well that if you post articles and write-ups from othernewd sites and sources, please add your own thoughts to those posts before posting them here. Simply cutting and pasting from other sites defeats the purpose of having a debate.
