Indian Army should Vacate Badami Bagh They Occupy

The Indian Army should leave the Badami Bagh Cantonment because it is an unnnecessary occupation of prime property which lies within city limits. It will solve many problems that Srinagar faces for instance if the residents of Dal are moved to badami Bagh, the Dal lake can be saved. As you can see, the army occupies about 500 hecttares at Badami Bagh. Whereas the Dal area residents would need approximately the same.

A very good suggestion......

But we all know that unless India vacates Jammu & Kashmir, this is practically impossible.

Dal is a source of fresh water to millions of Kashmiris especially Srinagar city and suburbs, therefore Dal Dwellers and sewage going into the Dal from the surrounding areas needs to be taken care of ASAP.

Nothing can compare to the ideal solution of India leaving KAshmir. But maybe we could in the meanwhile throw them out of Badami Bagh just as we overturned the SASB land-grab decision. If Kashmiris protest similarly about the BadamiBagh maybe it would be possible?

Just imagine what that area be if there was no army there! Right from gupkar road to Pandrethan!!
