Bolivia cuts Israel ties over Gaza

A predominantly Roman Catholic country in South America has snapped its ties with Israel (SOURCE ALJAZEERA)over what it is doing in Gaza................CAN THE IMPOTENT MUSLIM COUNTRIES DO THE SAME WITH INDIA/ISRAEL. FOR STARTERS ALL RICH MUSLIM COUNTRIES SHOULD STOP ACCEPTING WORKERS/BUSINESS HOUSES FROM INDIA/ISRAEL. Can we build consensus amongst Muslim countries to block India economically.....IT CAN be done if we work hard towards this goal......

You are right, it is beyond reason that Turkey, Egypt and Jordan still have diplomatic ties with Israel!!
I honestly cannot think of a reason why they would want to deal with Israel and anger their own population. It defies logic. Just goes to reinforce the perception that these dictators (except turkey; but their military commanders for sure) are stooges of US/Israel.

Most Turkish people want to continue their diplomatic relations with Israel. This decision of Turkey is a democratic decision, Turkish military is subservient to the Turkish parliament. Turkish people are smart, and understand how futile a move it is to cut diplomatic ties. Turkey condemned the recent Israeli aggression in very strong terms. But there is not much that it can do. The key-actors who can make a difference on Israel are EU, USA and the very own Arab countries. Everybody knows that the dictators in Egypt, Jordan (or in UAE/SaudiArabia) have all been bought up by USA and Israel.

The problem of Palastine is primarily an Arab problem, and a direct consequence of the lack of Arab unity.

no the problem in palestine is that of a terrorist state like israel imprisoning a whole nation ans stealing their lands. having diplomatic ties with such a country means legitimizing their existense. israel should not be a country present in the midst of middle east. it is a fake creation. it is unsustainable. the sooner they go back to whichever countries they immigrated from the better it will be for the whole world.

Actually, Palastenians don't ask Israelis to go back. They ask for their own right to return to the Israeli heartland from the refugee camps in which they live currently. Israel doesn't want to grant them the right to return, because then Jews will become a demographic minority and Israel cannot survive as a Jewish state.

In a sense, Israel is similar to the apartheid South Africa.

In my opinion, a just solution is to have a secular republic of Israel & Palastine with universal adult franchise. However, Palastenians and Israelis have to build up a lot of trust and mutual respect for that to happen.

As long as Arab nations stand divided, they cannot have a strong enough diplomatic/military voice to demand the rights of Palastenians. Israeli aggression in Palastine or Lebanon was just waiting to happen.

Where were the military bunkers ? Where were the bomb-shelters ? Where was the trade offensive against Israel ? Palastenians were just standing naked in front of Israel. Who should be blamed for this ?

we agree that palestinians are suffering but you seem to place the blame on Arabs! when the Israelis are solely and entirely to blame! its like putting the blame of the crimes of hitler on germany's neighbours Russia and england!

the only way out and for a lasting settlement is to place real sanctions and reprimand israel. and to cut off all ties to this terrorsit state.

the world is quick to impose economic and diplomatic sanctions on iran for something that hasnt even happened yet, their purported nuclear amnitions! and yet israel gets to go scott free because of their relations with the US. its time that the rest of the world cutt of all ties to this modern day nazi country. only then will it feel the outrage of the world.

Israel is a great country . It has helped INDIA with millitary weapons. Why should we wish bad for Israel ?
